Army

It looks like I am going to have to start investing in Army Scrapbook kits! Josh finally made up his mind and we are going to make an appointment with the Army Recruiter next Thursday to take the initial test and start the enlistment process. Josh has read through the ASVAB book about 8 times, made flash cards and highlighted hundreds of words. He and I have been working on his cooking skills and he is definate about wanting to be a chef. I am so happy.

Just a few weeks ago Josh had no real idea where he wanted to be in 6 months let alone 5 years but the reality of graduation has finally set in and he realized that he needed to head in any direction as long as he had a decent plan. Not surprisingly, he even wants to be stationed in Iraq. He figures that since both of his parents were willing to go to war if it was required while they were in the service, he could do it too. His girlfriend isn't exactly pleased and his father and I would rather him go into the Navy like we did, but who are we to tell him not to do what he feels is right?

All in all, it is a great ending to a busy week. Now if I could only start getting some sleep.
