Traditions

This year (all 18 days of it) my mind has been taken to the word TRADITIONS.  I have spent a lot of time looking at the traditions and wondered such things as:

- why does my family have to have Thanksgiving at my mom’s house?

-why does our family celebrate Christmas on the 24th every year instead of the 25th?

- why do I always take down the Christmas tree on the 7th of January?

- why do we always stay at home on New Years Eve just to watch the ball drop?

One of my “get organized” goals this year is to spend time daily tooking at my pictures and come up with scrapbook stories. (This is a hint for the upcoming series of kit coming 2/15 if you are looking for one). To that end, I put together this template and page to show off just one of our many traditions that we need to know why do we…

New Kit, Freebie and Coupon

So, I have figured out that designing can be completely addicting and I was so inspired by so many things this coming up season. Since I live in Texas, I miss the colors of fall, the change in the weather and attending football games in something warmer than tank tops and shorts. This kit reminds me of everything I miss from up north.

Crisp cool nights and colors exploding from the trees can only mean that a Happy Harvest is just around the corner. But you don't need to wait around, a Happy Harvest has already arrived! Filled with rich, warm colors and textures that you can almost feel, along with just enough variety in the elements, makes this kit one that you can use over and over all season long. From the little felt mushroom, to the apples picked fresh from the tree, you can almost smell the scent of fall. Happy Harvest contains 18 perfectly textured papers and 77 elements. Happy Harvest Add On Paper Pack contains 12 plain pieces of textured card stock and the alpha contains 26 Upper Case Letters, 26 Lower Case Letters, 10 numbers and 32 symbols

In celebration of completing my second kit, I am giving away this template as well as a coupon for $2 off of the purchase of the bundle kit. Since the coupon thing didn’t work so well with the leaving the comments thing, I am doing it this way. I hope you can find some use for it.

Wednesday Freebie

So, if you missed it from the title of the blog post, I have decided to start posting freebies on Wednesdays.  For a while it is going to be templates until I finish getting my designing legs under me, then I am going to start small.

I have wanted to design for months but have been afraid to start.  Well, I started and LOVE it….so you get to be my guinea pigs to see if what I design is enjoyed by anyone but me.  I have to tell you, if it isn’t, I am still gonna use it for my layouts LOL.

Here is today’s template from on of my favorite layouts.

Oh, and don’t I look professional????  Tammy of the Queen and the Princess Designs made me my own logo and preview templates.  She said if I am gonna be a designer, I have to look like a designer. lol… don’t you agree?

Template Freebie

I really liked making my template freebie from yesterday and decided I would take another one of my layouts and make another one.   I would love to hear from you letting me know if I am on the right track.  Also, if you have a specific layout you have seen on my blog that you like that I didn’t use a template for and you would like one, leave me a comment and let me know and I will put it up.

Here is the inspiration for this template
