Family

So, this Christmas was full of fun, family and surprisingly relaxation. Christmas Eve was with my family at my sister's house with 3 sisters with their husbands and children, my parents, an aunt and a cousin, plus my husband and children. The best part was no bloodshed. Sometimes the jabs and comments can get a little wild and hurtful, but this year things were relatively quiet.

On Christmas Day we went to church since dad was preaching then came home and got back into jammies for the day. I got to enjoy watching my 18 year old and 15 year old sons play with legos and matchbox cards. "Santa" was feeling very nostalgic remembering how much fun it was when they were younger so she, of course I mean HE, left things like slinkies, cars, legos and pez containers.

Ben, the 15 year old, left for his band trip on December 26th at 1am and rode in a bus for 17 hours to go to Orlando Florida. They played during halftime at the Champs bowl then spent the evening after the game just relaxing.

Dec 27th we spent the day in Austin with hubby's family going to a traditional Christmas party for 75+ family members. Thankfully one of the uncles rent out a part of a restaurant and we have several hours to eat wonderful food, drink from the open bar and socialize. We got home around 6:30 and Josh, the 18 year old, was out the door and "hanging out" with friends. I will actually be glad when his girlfriend comes back from up north so that he is easier to keep track of :)

New Beginnings

I know that new beginnings usually start in January however I decided that since I am a collector of ALL things, I needed a place to start putting them. So, here is post number one of who knows how many in order to attempt to control my obsessive collecting bug that I inherited from my mother.
